Chasing a competitive target of 170, Gujarat Titans were off to poor start. Maheesh Theekshana and Mukes Choudhary combined to rattle Titans as they were down to 16/3 in 4 overs. Shubman Gill and Vijay Shankar both were dismissed for duck. With no Hardik Pandya, Titans relied on David Miller.
The South African was brilliant. He kept the scorecard ticking with a brisk rate, taking on CSK bowlers. After Wriddhiman Saha departed, he partnered with Rahul Tewatia for a 39-run stand. After he departed, Miller stitched together a 72-run stand with Rashid Khan off just 37 balls.
Rashid Khan brought out his BATSMAN avatar with a 21-ball 40 runs. His knock included a 24-run thrashing of Chris Jordan that changed the game. In the end, with 13 required off last over, Miller was caught out in third man but it turned out to be a no-ball. Eventually, Miller remained unbeaten on 94 as Gujarat Titans chased the target with a ball to spare.

Earlier, sent to bat, Ruturaj Gaikwad finally returned to form when CSK needed him the most. At his home, he smashed 73 off 48 while Ambati Rayudu smashed 46 off 31 as their 92-run partnership besides Ravindra Jadeja’s 12-ball 22 helped Chennai Super Kings set 170-run target for Gujarat Titans.
Chennai Super Kings were off to a poor start with Robin Uthappa and Moeen Ali fell cheaply. But Ruturaj Gaikwad, who has been out of form, took charge. His partnership with Ambati Rayudu was crucial as CSK set the stage. However, Shivam Dube and Ravindra Jadeja initially struggled to get going. Thanks to the last-over heroics from Jadeja, CSK posted 169/5.
