Ronaldo and his partner Georgina Rodriguez, 28, revealed that their son had died at birth on April 18, but their daughter survived.
The 37-year-old has now shared a black and white image of himself cradling the baby, accompanied with the caption ‘Forever Love’ alongside a love heart emoji on Instagram.
The adorable picture, which sees the tot donning a knitted hat, was met with a plethora of supportive messages, with several of Ronaldo’s followers replying with red love hearts. The couple have yet to announce a name for their little girl amid their harrowing loss.

Announcing his and Georgina’s heartbreaking loss earlier this month, Cristiano penned: ‘It is with our deepest sadness we have to announce that our baby boy has passed away. It is the greatest pain that any parents can feel.
‘Only the birth of our baby girl gives us the strength to live this moment with some hope and happiness. ‘We would like to thank the doctors and nurses for all their expert care and support.
‘We are all devastated at this loss and we kindly ask for privacy at this very difficult time. ‘Our baby boy, you are our angel. We will always love you.’
The footballer missed Man United’s mid-week match against Liverpool which saw fans at Anfield holding a minute’s applause for Ronaldo and his family and singing ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone.’
