The boy named Rabih Shaheen expressed his desire to meet Cristiano Ronaldo when journalist Munther Al-Muzaki was in Syria as part of the UAE relief campaign following the devastating earthquake that took place in Turkey and Syria. Shaheen lost his father in the devastating earthquake, and his wish with innocence touched Muzaki’s heart.

Muzaki uploaded a video of him with the children from the earthquake-hit zone on Twitter. In the video, Shaheen was seen expressing his wish to meet Ronaldo. Despite losing his father in the earthquake, Shaheen had a smile on his face, while he was talking to Muzaki. The video spread like fire on Twitter and it also reached Turki Al-Sheikh, who is the chairman of Saudi Arabia’s General Authority for Entertainment. Al-Sheikh decided to fulfill Shaheen’s dream and arranged a flight for him and his family to Riyadh.
Shaheen and his family reached Riyadh on February 24th but got the chance to meet Ronaldo on Friday when Al Nassr played Al-Batin at the King Saud University Stadium. Before the game, Muzaki retweeted a video on Twitter, where Shaheen can be seen meeting the 38-year-old. The boy exclaimed, ‘I love you’ and hugged Ronaldo. He also did Ronaldo’s signature celebration, ‘Siu’, and Ronaldo followed him.
The video currently has around 6 million views on Twitter. Ronaldo has often been seen making his fans happy by doing simple things and meeting them is one of them.
Shaheen lost his father in the devastating earthquake, which occurred on February 6th. It must be devastating for him and his family, but meeting his idol during his tough time might gave him some strength to fight his situation.
