Australia cricket team all-rounder Cameron Green finished as the most expensive player to be sold at the IPL 2026 auction. The mini-auction in Abu Dhabi turned out to be a promising one, more so for uncapped Indian players than others. From the likes of the unknown Kartik Sharma and Prashant Veer fetching Rs 14.20 crore to an out-of-favour Matheesha Pathirana fetching Rs 18 crore, the IPL 2026 auction was a gold mine for quite a number of players. Green, who last featured in the IPL in 2024 as a part of RCB, missed the 2025 season due to an injury. He was touted to be the most sought after player in the IPL 2026 auction and rightfully became so by the virtue of KKR’s hefty purse.
Second on the list is Pathirana, who was released by CSK ahead of the IPL 2026 auction. Meanwhile, the five-time champions picked up the uncapped duo of Veer and Sharma for Rs 14.20 crore each.
