Dependable KL Rahul leads rescue mission

KL Rahul has enjoyed a fine series so far and he continued to set the tone for India in Manchester. After missing out on a big score in the first innings, Rahul dug in when his side needed him the most. With a deficit of 311 to scale, India lost Jaiswal and Sudharsan in the first over.

The Indian opener joined hands with Shubman Gill batting out time and ticking the scoreboard in a measured partnership. He reached his half-century post Tea, striking at just above 35. With India batting to save the Test, Rahul’s gritty knock gives them a chance to walk away with a draw.
