KKR seem to be making some last minute additions to their roster, after pacer Akash Deep was ruled out for the entire IPL 2026. They have brought in 28-year-old left arm pacer from Vidarbha, Saurabh Dubey, as per Cricbuzz. The bowler was part of the SRH earlier, but did not make his debut with the team.

“He is a very talented left-arm fast bowler. I remember him touring Sri Lanka under Rahul Dravid as part of the Emerging side. He gets extra bounce off the wicket and can swing the ball both ways. It’s a good call by the Knight Riders management,” said Subroto Banerjee, who has closely tracked Dubey both as a national selector and in Nagpur, where he is based.
This has happened a few days after their premier bowler Harshit Rana was ruled out of the entire tournament, after he underwent a knee surgery. Then, Blessing Muzarabani was called in from PSL. Meanwhile, their bowling attack still remains fragile, with no clarity on availability of Matheesha Pathirana.
In fact, there are doubts, if Cameron Green would be able to bowl or not. Umran Malik is injury prone and one cannot fully depend on him. KKR would have to get in a few more pace-bowling resources.
