The Indian Premier League (IPL 2026) playoff matches will reportedly be held Maharaja Yadavindra Singh PCA Stadium in Chandigarh’s Mullanpur, as per reports. The update comes at a time when the schedule for the next edition of the cash-rich league is yet to be announced. Last year, the venue hosted Qualifier 1 and Eliminator after matches were rescheduled due to Operation Sindoor.
Mullanpur to host IPL 2026 playoffs
As per Johns, the PCA stadium in Mullanpur will host the IPL 2026 playoff matches. To date, the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh PCA Stadium – which serves as the home ground for Punjab Kings (PBKS) – has hosted 11 IPL games to date. As per reports, IPL 2026 will be held from March 26 and will finish on May 31.
Earlier this year, the IPL 2025 playoff games were moved to different venues due to Operation Sindoor and the prevailing tensions between India and Pakistan. As a result, Mullanpur hosted the Qualifier 1 and Eliminator while Qualifier 2 and the IPL 2025 final was held at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) ended their 17-year-wait to lift the trophy after defeating PBKS by 6 runs.
