India vs England 4th Test, Day 4 Weather Report: Rain in Manchester to save Shubman Gill?

Catch the weather and rain prediction for day four of the fourth Test match in Manchester.

England finished Day 3 at a commanding 544/7, extending their first-innings lead to 186 runs and pushing India further on the back foot in the fourth Test of the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy at Old Trafford. Joe Root’s masterclass 150* and a gritty knock from skipper Ben Stokes (77*) have firmly put the hosts in the driver’s seat.

India’s misery at Old Trafford

With just three wickets remaining and the pitch still playing true, England will look to bat once and bat India out of the match and the series.

India briefly found hope with a flurry of wickets in the second session, removing Ollie Pope and Harry Brook cheaply. But their control slipped as Root and Stokes counterattacked. To make matters worse, both Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj walked off the field late in the day, and looked jaded. Shubman Gill brought in Washington Sundar in 69th over, while Anshul Kamboj’s debut hasn’t been great either.

As Day 4 begins, the visitors will need divine intervention or some heavy Manchester clouds to ease the pressure. And weather, for once, might be on their side. Let us look at the rain chances on Day 4 (July 26) at Old Trafford.
