After two consecutive days of practice sessions, the India cricket team will have a rest day on Tuesday. The team arrived in Dubai on Saturday for the ICC Champions Trophy. Rohit Sharma and co. wasted no time as they hit the ground the very next day at the ICC Academy to commence their preparation. India’s campaign will kick-start with their tournament opener against Bangladesh.
On the first day itself, star batter Rishabh Pant suffered a freak injury, after being hit by a shot from Hardik Pandya. He limped back, but then returned to practice the next day. On the other hand, team India bowling coach Morne Morkel suffered a personal loss, as he lost his father, and returned to South Africa.
