Team India went in with two changes for their playing XI, for the third T20I against New Zealand on Sunday. Suryakumar Yadav left out Arshdeep Singh and Varun Chakravarthy from the team, while Jasprit Bumrah and Ravi Bishnoi came in for the encounter.
No Arshdeep & Varun Chakravarthy
The Indian batting remained the same, with the likes of Ishan Kishan and Surya coming good in the last match. Both of them scored massive fifties, that too after a long time. That would be a great confidence booster for the team. Meanwhile, one issue persists with the team, which is the form of Sanju Samson, who continues to struggle.
In the last match too, he was out for only 6. Another few failures could put his place in jeopardy for the T20 World Cup. Coming to Ravi Bishnoi, he had last played for India in a T20I in Feb 2025. For now he has played 42 matches and gotten 61 wickets as well. The economy stands at 7.35.
India (Playing XI): Sanju Samson(w), Abhishek Sharma, Ishan Kishan, Suryakumar Yadav(c), Shivam Dube, Hardik Pandya, Rinku Singh, Harshit Rana, Ravi Bishnoi, Kuldeep Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah.
New Zealand (Playing XI): Devon Conway, Tim Seifert(w), Rachin Ravindra, Glenn Phillips, Mark Chapman, Daryl Mitchell, Mitchell Santner(c), Kyle Jamieson, Matt Henry, Ish Sodhi, Jacob Duffy.
