Taking to social media platform Instagram, Mandeep thanked the Tripura Cricket Association for giving him a chance in the previous season. Wishing the team luck for the upcoming domestic season, the batter said he was looking forward to the next chapter in his life. It still remains to be seen which state would Mandeep make his move to.

Thank you Tripura CA for giving me the opportunity to play last season, I enjoyed my time there. Made some wonderful memories on and off the field. Wishing the team success for the upcoming season. Looking forward to the next chapter,” Mandeep wrote.

Mandeep had an incredible run during his stint at Tripura. He scored one century and five half-centuries in Ranji Trophy, three fifties in VHT and two half-centuries in SMAT. He made his move to Tripura for the 2024/25 domestic season after spending 15 years with Punjab.

“I have been thinking about a switch. Tripura has been asking me for some time,” Vihari said. I cannot disclose the names but I know we are signing Vihari,” Tapan Lodh, a former president of the association said.
