Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan created history by becoming the highest wicket-taker in T20s. The 26-year-old surpassed Dwanye Bravo’s record of 631 wickets in the shortest format of the game. Khan achieved the feat during the SA20 qualifier 1 against Paarl Royals.
Rashid Khan is now leading wicket-taker in T20s
Khan has played 461 T20s to date and has 633 wickets to his name, averaging 18.08. It took the Afghan spinner just 10 years since his debut to become one of the best bowlers in T20s. And he has no plans to stop anytime soon.
“It’s a great achievement. I never thought about it, if you asked 10 years before this if I would get there. It’s a proud feeling to be from Afghanistan and to be at that level where you top the table. DJ [Bravo] is one of the best T20 bowlers. It’s a great honour and I’m looking forward to continuing,” Rashid said after his spell.
