Suryakumar Yadav fit for Asia Cup
Suryakumar Yadav has cleared the fitness test for the Asia Cup 2025. India’s T20I captain has been rehabilitating at the Centre of Excellence since early August and has finally gotten to his physical best after his sports hernia surgery in June. Suryakumar will also be present in Mumbai for the squad selection.

Samson to be KKR’s new knight?
KKR is interested in a potential trade with RR. They want Sanju Samson in their team, but RR doesn’t want Venkatesh Iyer. Instead, they want one of Ramandeep Singh or Angkrish Raghuvanshi and the remaining amount in a cash deal. But it turns out that KKR isn’t willing to let Angkrish go.

The Pant rule change
BCCI has changed its playing rules for the 2025-26 season. In the aftermath of Rishabh Pant’s incident, the board will allow ‘serious’ injury replacements. The rule will come into effect in just the Under-19 CK Nayudu Trophy to begin with. Later on, it may be used in the IPL 2026 as well.

Manjrekar criticises Bumrah
Former India batter Sanjay Manjrekar has criticised Jasprit Bumrah for skipping two matches in the India vs England Test series. He labelled India losing two of the three matches Bumrah played as ‘poetic justice’. Manjrekar then went on to say that Bumrah can’t be a ‘frontline pick’ if he can’t play all matches.

BCCI retired Rohit-Kohli from Tests?
Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli were forcefully retired from Test cricket, as per former Indian all-rounder Karsan Ghavri. He stated that due to internal politics, both left the longest format earlier than they should have. Rohit and Kohli both deserve farewell Test matches, in his opinion.
