Injury scare for Litton Das
Bangladesh have put them in a good position to qualify for the finals of Asia Cup 2025. The Bengal tigers began their Super 4 stage with a last over win over defending champions Sri Lanka. India present their toughest test and they could be without talisman Das for the Dubai encounter.
“We will have a look at him (Litton) today because from outside he looks quite okay, but we need to conduct a medical assessment before making a final call,” a BCB official told Cricbuzz on Tuesday.
Das is likely to feature given the high stakes nature of the game. A win all but guarantees Bangladesh an Asia Cup final spot. He is Bangladesh’s leading run scorer this edition, with 119 runs in 4 innings. Litton holds the key for Bangladesh and his absence to could cast huge absence over the side.
The BCB did not appoint a deputy to Litton for the tournament either. Should he miss out, a decision on who captains the team will also be needed.
