Ahead of his homecoming, Tilak Varma and his family hosted a plethora of stars for dinner ahead of the game against Sunrisers Hyderabad. Varma, who hails from Hyderabad, invited the Mumbai Indians squad for dinner in the presence of his parents.

MI captain Rohit Sharma, Ishan Kishan, Suryakumar Yadav, Piyush Chawla and mentor Sachin Tendulkar were among the attendees. Dewald Brevis, Arjun Tendulkar and some of the support staff also joined in. Tilak was extremely grateful and shared a glimpse from the evening. He posted a series of pictures from the evening, with his family posing around MI’s squad.

Tilak Varma has continued his fine run of form this season. One of the breakout stars of last year, the Mumbai Indians starlet has turned into one of the mainstays this season. The 21-year-old is MI’s leading run-scorer this season, with 177 runs in 4 games, at a stunning strike rate of 150. The left-hander will be keen to continue his rich vein of form, especially on his return to Hyderabad.
