Karun Nair had hit a downward spiral after smashing a triple ton for India. With injuries and loss of form, he was dropped from Karnataka squad. In the IPL 2023 auction, he found no suitors either despite being listed at Rs 50 lakh. In frustration at lack of opportunities Nair tweeted in December, “Dear Cricket, give me one more chance”. He has now got it.

While he did manage to find some form in Maharaja T20 Cup, it did not help. With just 4 matches to go in the IPL 2023, Karun Nair will now hope to make an impact in whatever matches he get to his name.

Last season, Nair played for Rajasthan Royals and in two innings, he could not make an impact. RR released him ahead of the auction. Nair enjoyed his best season with Delhi Daredevils (now Delhi Capitals) when he scored 357 runs in 12 innings.

Karun Nair IPL Record:

  • Matches: 76 games
  • Runs: 1496
  • Average: 23.75
  • 50/100: 10/0
  • Strike Rate: 127.75
