Deepak Chahar has been struggling with his hamstring for quite some time now. He was released from India squad to treat his ailing hamstring. At CSK, Chahar played 9 games and missed 6. In Qualifier 1, he was at his destructive best with the new ball, swinging it both ways to trouble both Shubman Gill and Wriddhiman Saha.

While it is still unknown which pitch CSK will get in Ahmedabad, it is certain that Deepak Chahar will be one of the first names on the team sheet. That is the trust Dhoni has in the Agra-born pacer.
However, it all depends on his injury. Despite clutching his hamstring, Chahar seemed okay when CSK took the flight to Ahmedabad on Saturday. And as has been the case, CSK team management will take a late call if he is not a match-fit.

Although the pitch is expected to be a batting heaven, in case it turns, CSK can Pathirana with Mitchell Santner to have more edge.
