For the first time ever, Sports18 will have an India series exclusively. Viacom18 has bagged the IND vs IRE Live Broadcast rights for three matches. Despite IPL and WPL deals, Viacom never had any India match rights. The first one is IND vs WI Live Streaming rights. However, it is only available on JioCinema as part of a licensing deal with FanCode. But now, for the first time, Viacom18 will have both broadcast and IND vs IRE LIVE Streaming rights. The series starts on August 18 in Dublin with Jasprit Bumrah leading a second-string side.
Viacom18 officially announced the deal on Friday. India vs Ireland three-match IND vs IRE T20 series will be exclusively broadcast on Sports18 and streamed on the JioCinema platform.
With regular T20 captain Hardik Pandya taking a break ahead of Asia Cup 2023, Jasprit Bumrah will make his return. The premier pacer has been out for a year following a lower back stress fracture. But ahead of World Cup 2023, he will make a return and gradually increase his workload.

The 3-match T20 series will serve as the practice for Asian Games 2023 squad as well as Jasprit Bumrah. Ruturaj Gaikwad who will lead India in the Asian Games will be the deputy in the series. The likes of Prasidh Krishna who is also in the running for World Cup and Asia Cup spot will be returning from injuries.
