CSK vs MI: Chennai Super Kings teamed up with the Mumbai Indians to mock Punjab Kings on Twitter following the Rohit Sharma-led team’s successful chase of a 215-run target against the PBKS on Wednesday. MI got off to the worst start imaginable by losing Rohit early on. The MI captain left for a duck after being unable to open his account. In an attempt to mock Rohit, PBKS made fun of him for departing for a duck. They tweeted ‘0’ next to the initial letter of Rohit’s name. However, after Tilak Varma’s match-winning six, the visitors brutally took revenge against the home team. The PBKS’ tweet was later removed by the admin. Check out MI’s response below. After Rohit was dismissed, Ishan Kishan and Suryakumar Yadav took responsibility and added 116 runs for the third wicket. Ishan scored a crucial 66 off 31 balls while SKY blasted a blistering 75 off only 41 balls before being removed in the 17th over. Tilak Varma, who hit an undefeated 26 off only 10 balls, also had a significant impact. In the chase, Tim David hit 19* off 10 balls. Tilak finished off the chase by hitting a six off Arshdeep Singh.
The PBKS admin tagged Mumbai police with a photo of the stumps that Arshdeep had broken during the last encounter between the two sides, which Punjab won by a score of 13 runs. PBKS wrote that they would like to report a crime. The Mumbai Police provided the best retort, stating that crimes are reported for breaching the law, not for smashing the stumps. The MI page, however, squashed them this time with an epic reply after the win.
