In the middle of the interview, Mohammed Shami asked Mohammed Siraj, “Mera ek sawal apse bhi hai, woh celebration ka kya razz hai” (Can you tell what’s the secret behind that celebration). Mohammed Siraj replied and explained that he loves Ronaldo’s style and often imitates it on the field. Siraj said, “Mai Cristiano ko follow krta hu or uska fan bhi hu toh jb bhi bowled hota hai tbhi mai aise celebration krta hu.”

Shami, who is known for his witty sense of humor, responded by advising Siraj to be careful while celebrating as a fast bowler. He joked that jumping too much could lead to injuries and advised Siraj to tone down his celebrations a little bit. The two bowlers then shared a hearty laugh.
Mohammed Shami was the pick of Indian bowlers in India’s victory against the Kangaroos. He heaped praise on his teammates and stated that whatever happened in the past was just a phase and not only Rahul but every player goes through it in his career.
“We often talk about being under pressure or being in and out of form. But a player always thinks positive and tries his best for the team. He always thinks of playing a good innings or giving great starts. And we have seen him playing well for the team in the past,” said Shami.
The right-arm pacer bowled two maiden overs out of six overs he bowled. Shami conceded just 17 runs and scalped 3 wickets. After this performance, Shami said that it is important to clinch the momentum at the right time in venues like the Wankhede Stadium.
“If you see overall then there have been high-scoring matches as well here. The pitches here have good bounce, the ball comes nicely on the bat too, (big) runs are also scored here at this venue,” said Shami.

“But if you would have noticed, whenever someone bowls in the right areas, (the course) of a match changes. It is all about when you are able to shift the momentum – early or late. That is what we pulled off today, once we got the momentum on our side after the 20th over, we capitalised on it and we were able to stop them at 188,” he added.
