CPL 2021 semi-final 1: TKR vs SLK – Knight Riders two wins away from title defence, Kings aim maiden title

In a repeat of last season’s final, defending champions Trinbago Knight Riders will take on the beaten finalists St Lucia Kings in semi-final 1 of the CPL 2021. The Knight Riders showed their class and stamped their authority with a win over St Kitts and Nevis Patriots in their final game, to clinch the top spot in the standings, despite a slow start to the season.

The Kings meanwhile have been patchy and a lot will depend on the availability of Faf du Plessis as they prepare for the semi-final. The fourth-placed side come into the clash on the back of a defeat against bottom-placed Barbados Royals, but will nonetheless will be a force to reckon with, especially considering the form of Roston Chase, and if featuring Faf du Plessis.
