According to attorney Ariel Mitchell’s demand letters addressed to Conor McGregor, the NBA, and the Miami Heat this week, the purported occurrence transpired in the aftermath of the Miami Heat’s defeat against the Denver Nuggets, on June 9 at the Kaseya Center in Florida.
Based on the demand letters obtained by TMZ Sports, attorney Ariel Mitchell asserts that Conor McGregor and his security guard were already present inside the men’s restroom when the alleged victim and her friend were ushered in by security personnel from the NBA and the Miami Heat. The attorney alleges that the security staff prevented the woman from leaving the restroom and prohibited her friend from entering the area.
The letters then describe how McGregor emerged from a handicap stall and aggressively kissed the victim, shoving his tongue in her mouth. He then allegedly forced her to have oral sex with him before attempting to sodomize her.
Fortunately, the woman was able to elbow McGregor repeatedly and escape. However, she allegedly left her purse behind, which McGregor’s security guards held hostage until she pleaded with them for its return.
The woman reported the assault to local authorities the next morning, and Mitchell says she is seeking settlements with the NBA, the Heat, and McGregor in lieu of litigation. In a statement released by McGregor’s reps, they denied the allegations and said that he will not be intimidated. The Heat also released a statement saying they are conducting a full investigation into the matter.
This isn’t the first time McGregor has been in trouble with the law. In 2019, he was arrested for smashing a fan’s phone and in 2018, he attacked a bus carrying UFC fighters, resulting in injuries to several people. It remains to be seen how this latest incident will play out, but one thing is for sure: McGregor’s reputation is taking yet another hit.
