Conor McGregor Worst Moves

Insulting Khabib Nurmagomedov’s family:

It’s impossible to discuss McGregor without mentioning his intense rivalry with Khabib Nurmagomedov, which persisted even after their fight had ended. McGregor went too far in the lead-up to their grudge match at UFC 229 by making personal attacks on Nurmagomedov’s family and Dagestani heritage, provoking the Russian and intensifying his desire to defeat McGregor in the octagon.

McGregor also insulted Nurmagomedov’s wife in a tweet by calling her a “towel mate,” which was likely a reference to the veil covering her face in a picture from their wedding. Although McGregor deleted the tweet shortly after posting it, he continued to make low blows by tweeting about Nurmagomedov’s late father, Abdulmanap, a respected coach in the MMA community who passed away from COVID-19 complications in July 2020. One such deleted tweet from McGregor read “Covid is good and father is evil?” and was presumably directed at Abdulmanap.

Punching old man in a pub

In 2019, McGregor found himself in hot water after throwing a punch at an elderly patron’s head at The Marble Arch Pub. Reports suggest that McGregor had a generous spirit and attempted to buy a round of his Proper Twelve whiskey for all present in the pub. But, one particular elderly gentleman, who is visible in a video, declined the offer and steadfastly refused to indulge.

Despite the elderly man’s refusal, he made several attempts to pour himself a drink and even placed a cup in front of him. Later on, words were exchanged between the two, and things escalated quickly, resulting in McGregor delivering a punch to the man’s head.

Beating woman on a yacht

A woman’s accusation of assault against Conor McGregor while they were on his yacht has caused a major controversy in the UFC community. According to the woman, the incident occurred on July 16, which also happened to be McGregor’s 34th birthday.

The woman alleged that McGregor punched and kicked her in the midriff, and that she had to jump off the yacht near Formentera Island to prevent him from killing her. She was later rescued by a Red Cross boat, and McGregor is now being investigated for the alleged assault.

Scuffle with Machine Gun Kelly

During the MTV VMA event, Conor McGregor was captured on camera throwing his drink at Machine Gun Kelly, also known as MGK, while he and Megan Fox were walking the red carpet. Security officers intervened and restrained McGregor. According to reports, McGregor had requested a photo with MGK, but was turned down, after which security pulled him away from the couple. As he fell backward, McGregor threw his drink in frustration.

Confronted Jose Aldo’s family

Following his second-round TKO victory over Dennis Siver in the headlining match of UFC Fight Night 59, Conor McGregor made headlines by jumping over the cage and confronting champion Jose Aldo. The reason behind McGregor’s actions was the growing animosity between the two fighters. The scene at Boston’s TD Garden was one of the most unforgettable moments in UFC history, and it cemented McGregor’s status as a fighter who was unafraid to go after what he wanted, both in and out of the octagon.

McGregor is a legendary fighter, but increasingly his exploits outside the cage have left stains on his legacy as a sporting role model and ambassador. His talent is being overshadowed by these irresponsible stunts and brushes with the law. The time is ripe for McGregor to adjust his ways or risk becoming more infamous than famous.
