The rumble of the Heavyweight Champions! On March 4, 2023, the top Heavyweight contender Ciryl Gane and the former Light Heavyweight champion Jon Jones will square off in a “super” fight for the vacant undisputed Heavyweight title, marking the return of Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) to T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, and one of the biggest fights in its history. Pay-per-view (PPV) co-main event at UFC 285 features Valentina Shevchenko defending her Flyweight title against Alexa Grasso of Mexico. Shevchenko is the UFC’s current longest-reigning champion.
Throughout the previous few weeks, McGregor has been in Las Vegas filming an episode of The Ultimate Fighter alongside Michael Chandler. Following his loss to Dustin Poirier in July 2021, “Notorious” is only now testing the waters of the UFC.
A lot of people were caught off guard when the former UFC double champion Conor McGregor showed up to the UFC 285 weigh-ins carrying a microphone.

It’s a bummer for Jones and Gane that McGregor didn’t show up to add some extra hype to the heavyweight bout. Instead, the Irish celebrity appeared on stage to advertise his impending role in “Road House” and inform the audience that they would be participating in a scenario involving a weigh-in for the film.
“Is everyone pumped for the party tomorrow?” As the Las Vegas crowd began to cheer, McGregor was asked.” It’s the biggest fight in Road House history, and it’s happening at UFC 222: Harris vs. Dalton. Everyone in this field, you’re about to star in my film.”
McGregor and Gyllenhaal have been working on the “Road House” movie together since the summer of 2016. McGregor is scheduled to fight Chandler later this year. Although the former UFC champion has been busy with his growing Hollywood career and his recuperation and training for his UFC return, he may be overextending himself.
