A  tweet from Khan appeared on Twitter in October 2020 when Israeli actress Gal Gadot was cast as Cleopatra in a film directed by Patty Jenkins.

Khan wrote:

“Which Hollywood dumbass thought it would be a good idea to cast an Israeli actress as Cleopatra (a very bland looking one) instead of a stunning Arab actress like Nadine Njeim? And shame on you, Gal Gadot. Your country steals Arab land & you’re stealing their movie roles… ”.

Sarah Tuttle-Singer, an Israeli journalist, responded to Kahn’s tweet by saying, “Sucks when a woman in authority belittles another woman for her ‘bland’ features. Cleopatra, who was neither Arab nor African nor Israeli, was also not Jewish. Being from Greece’s Macedonia region, she was a beautiful sight to be.

In response to Tuttle-Singer, Kahn declared, “Cleopatra was part Greek and part Berber. What we know for sure is that. This is a question that has been debated by academics for ages.

On August 24, 2020, Sameera made a tweet towards Kangna Ranaut which read “Jews, Christians, and Muslims worship the God of Abraham. Acceptance/reverence of any other god/goddess would contradict our firm belief in the oneness of God.

We don’t ask you to worship our God. Leave us alone. “
