Yes, you have heard that line a thousand times over now but by the looks of it, this time players are doomed for sure as the only element that kept the LMG abusers in control is getting removed. COD Mobile RPD Cooling Compressor Barrel: How does it work?
The cooling compressor basically removed the need to reload your gun as it basically provides unlimited ammo in exchange for weapon overheating. Players from the Apex Legends or the Halo franchise are familiar with this. Basically, if you continue firing your gun without a break for an extended period of time, the barrel heats up, forcing the player to unarm the gun for a while. With the new attachment, the RPD will also function similarly.

However, judging by the gameplay, unlike other guns we have experienced in different games, Chopper’s heat meter is quite extensive. This means players can continue spraying for a ridiculous amount of time before the gun actually stops shooting. Furthermore, the cooldown also works pretty quick. So even if you stop shooting for one second during your spray, the barrel will cool down by more than 50 percent. You can follow this by looking at the heat meter featured just at the right side of your crosshair.
The only downside it really causes is the negative impacts of in movement speed and ADs bullet spread accuracy. However, that is also covered by the increase in Damage Range, Weapon Stability and reduced Hit Flinch.
How to unlock it?
To unlock this attachment, players need to go to the Seasonal Events section and complete all the missions under the ‘Ello On The Line’ tab.
RPD hasn’t been the favourite when it comes to high-impact LMGs. Guns like Chopper and Holger have been more dominant and remained favourite picks for the LMG users for quite a while. But now, looks like no one would think twice before picking a favourite gun to keep spamming inside ranked matches.
