Christian Eriksen Health Update: Denmark star trains with boyhood club – Christian Eriksen who was ruled out since the Euro 2020 competition after suffering a cardiac arrest during his country’s opening game against Finland in June is back in training 173 days after the on-field collapse. The Inter midfielder is banned from training in Italy due to his heart condition and thus trained alone at his boyhood club in Denmark Odense.

Christian Eriksen has been out on the pitch training with his boyhood club Odense as he prepares for a return to competitive action. The former Spurs midfielder will look to make a return to European football where he was regarded as one of the best playmakers with his visionary passing, long-range shooting, and brilliant free-kick techniques.

The Inter midfielder has been out of action since suffering a cardiac arrest and is not permitted to play in Italy while he still has an implantable cardioverter-defibrillator (ICD) fitted to his heart.

A January loan has been rumoured, and in order to prepare himself for that, Eriksen has returned to his homeland of Denmark and has been working with a personal trainer on the pitch of his boyhood club, Odense.

We are really happy that Christian Eriksen is keeping in shape right now at our facilities,” OB’s sports director, Michael Hemmingsen, told BT Sport.

“We have kept in touch with Christian since he switched from OB, and therefore we are happy that he asked us if he could retrain in Adalen.”
