After his video kicking the jersey went viral, he subsequently came under fire from many people. Likewise, boxing star Canelo Alvarez blasted him.

After a series of Tweets attacking Messi, the no. 10s old teammate Sergio Aguero showed up to support him. And after that, Alvarez answers him vehemently and harshly.

The Mexican hero indeed wasn’t happy with Messi as he kicked a Mexican jersey and he found it disrespectful to put the jersey on the floor. He stated, “It is one thing that they are better than us (in football), another thing is respect.”

Soon after, Aguero entered to defend Messi and said that Alvarez has next to no knowledge of or understanding of how the football locker room works. And explained that the fact that the jersey was on the floor after the match was not unexpected, as it was usually there due to sweat.

Subsequently, Canelo replied, “You bast**d too… you wrote to me oh oh canelo and now crying, don’t be a hypocrite bastard.”
Not only that, but Canelo engaged with several of the followers and afterward remarked that anyone who does not defend their motherland is a weakling. As he stated, one thing is fanaticism, and another is who you really are. Canelo seemed to be extremely hurt as a result of the incident.
Meanwhile, Messi hasn’t yet commented on the situation. But it would be better if he publicly expressed his opinion about the whole thing.
