Recently, the Call of Duty series is not doing quite well and fans are majorly disappointed by what Activision has to offer. Call of Duty Modern Warfare and Warzone are not getting much attention as they simply cannot match the high expectations every Call of Duty fan seeks. The Call of Duty series saw its downfall after Activision Blizzard got sued by the California State for their toxic work culture and harassment lawsuits. Recently, a former developer from Activision who used to actively work for Call of Duty has made some remarks regarding the game’s current state.
After Call of Duty Vanguard failed to meet the fans expectations and sales decreased rapidly. The former Call of Duty developer, Robert Bowling didn’t hold back on Twitter regarding what he feels about the situation and what the series actually needs. He has previously worked at the Modern Warfare Studio Infinity Ward from 2006 to 2012 as a creative strategist and currently leads the Midnight Society as a studio head. Robert Bowling said, ” We need more than iteration, we need revitalization. We used to treat our players like a community and not consumers. We brought them into the fold for map feedback not market feedback.” He also suggested that the Call of Duty series should focus more on gameplay rather than introducing different content gateways.

Fans really want something special from the upcoming Call of Duty in 2022 by Activision. Rumours have already appeared regarding the Call of Duty Modern Warfare II that will continue the lineage of the Modern Warfare series. Activision still hasn’t commented anything on their upcoming Call of Duty 2022 title but it seems like they might launch it sooner because of all the controversies the company is currently facing. Fans should expect Activision to drop the Call of Duty Modern Warfare II 2022 somewhere around Q2 of 2022.
