  • Round 32 – Winner of little knowns Martina Repiska & Ruselli Hartawan
  • Round of 16 – Pornpawee Chochuwong (THA)
  • Quarters – Tai Tzu Ying (TPE)

The 2019 champion is seeded sixth and will be the lone Indian female shuttler in the competition. PV Sindhu will begin with a bye in the first round. Her first opponent will be the winner of the match between Martina Repiska and Ruselli Hartawan. Things get tricky from there as a potential third-round encounter with in-form Thai shuttler Pornpawee Chochuwong awaits.

Sinhu has lost to Pornpawee in last 2 encounters at the All England & recently concluded BWF World Tour Finals.

If PV Sindhu successfully navigates the Thai challenge, she will set up date up with world No 1 Tai Tzu Ying in the quarterfinal.

Basel 2019 bronze medallist B Sai Praneeth and Kidambi Srikanth are drawn in the same quarter while Lakshya Sen faces a potential third-round match against world No 2 Kento Momota. HS Prannoy faces Ng Ka Long Angus in the opening round.

India’s lone doubles representatives, Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty are in the same section of the draw as Olympic champions Lee Yang and Wang Chi-Lin.
