Mohammad Rizwan was busy on national duty amid the three-match ODI series against New Zealand, which ended on Friday 13, January. On 14 January mere hours after reaching Dhaka Rizwan has then boarded a helicopter, which landed in Chattogram. And was named in the Playing XI for Comilla Victorians against Fortune Barishal.

Meanwhile, the Comilla Victorians made a last-ditch effort to win after two straight losses by boarding the wicketkeeper batter in a helicopter. As he was poised to represent the Victorians in the ongoing edition of the BPL. He played for the Victorians against Fortune Barishal on Saturday, 14 January but unfortunately could not make a big difference with his bat, Rizwan scored just 18 runs in 11 balls.
In addition to Rizwan, Comilla also picked Pakistani pacer Hasan Ali and West Indies opener Chadwick Walton, benching Dawid Malan, Mohammad Nabi, and Fazalhaq Farooqi to make room.
