BPL 2022 will be played in a double round-robin league format followed by three playoffs and a final scheduled to be played on February 18.
Dhaka, Chattogram, and Sylhet have been decided as the three venues for the BPL 2022.
The six teams are – Barishal (Fortune Shoes Limited), Chattogram (Delta Sports Limited-Akhtar Group), Cumilla (Comilla Legends Limited), Dhaka (Rupa Fabrics Ltd & Marn Steel Ltd (Consortium), Khulna (Mind Tree Ltd), Sylhet (Pragoti Green Auto Rice Mills Ltd).

BPL 2022 Player Draft:
The BPL 2022 Player Draft will take place on December 27 at Radisson Blu Water Garden, Dhaka.
- Three overseas players are allowed in the XI for a match.
- Franchises can directly sign one local player irrespective of the category before the BPL 2022 Player Draft.
- Each franchise can sign a minimum of ten and a maximum of fourteen local players.
- Barring the one direct signing, all the rest of the local players have to be picked from the Player Draft.
- Each team can have only 14 registered Bangladeshi players at any point in BPL 2022.
- The prize money of BDT 01 Crore has been decided for the BPL 2022 winner while the runners-up will get BDT 50 Lac.

- A category (BDT 70 Lac)
- B category (BDT 35 Lac)
- C category (BDT 25 Lac)
- D category (BDT 18 Lac)

- A category (US$ 75K)
- B category (US$ 50K)
- C category (US$ 40K)
- D category (US$ 30K)
