Crawford, who gave up his four light-welterweight titles in 2018 to go up in weight, hopes to become an undisputed champion in two weight classes after the fight. ‘Bud’ defeated Jeff Horn to win the WBO welterweight championship, and he has since successfully defended it against opponents like Kell Brook and Amir Khan. The 35-year-old has only been fighting once a year, but in his two fights in December, he stopped David Avanesyan and knocked out Shawn Porter.
Crawford, who was a Top Rank client before defeating Porter made him a free agent, appears to have agreed to a two-fight contract with the promoter Premier Boxing Champions.
