Despite being demeaned by several MMA pundits, Ngannou outclassed a veteran Gane and won via unanimous decision. He is now being pitched to face former light heavyweight champion Jon Jones, who is aiming at a heavyweight debut.

Jon Jones has been out of action since UFC 247 in February 2020. After beating Dominick Reyes, ‘Bones’ left the light heavyweight division and teased his heavyweight entry.
