Mendes had the early advantage, but the 26-year-old Irishman delivered the winning strike when he smacked his adversary in the jaw with a left-handed punch. Herb Dean eventually decided to terminate the fight after Mendes was knocked to the ground.
This weekend, McGregor’s former opponents- Mendes and Alvarez will co-headline BKFC 41.
The event will be headlined by also former UFC fighters- Mike Perry and Like Rockhold.
