BIGGEST SIX T20 WC: Pakistan’s Iftikhar Ahmed on Thursday smashed the biggest six of the ICC T20 World Cup 2022. Against South Africa at Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG), Pakistan explosive batter Iftikhar took matter into his own hands as he muscled down gigantic six off Lungi Ngidi in the 16th over. Iftikhar Ahmed and Shadab Khan’s sensational fifties dragged Pakistan out of the doldrums as they posted 185/9 after being 43/4 in their Super 12 vs the Proteas. BIGGEST SIX: On the fourth ball of 16TH over, Ngidi was hit by Iftikhar Ahmed for a huge six. Pakistan middle-order batter picked the bones out of the short ball, and smoked it over deep square leg for a mammoth 106 metre six. This was the biggest six of this World Cup, and even Shadab appreciated it, just like the spectators at SCG did.

Pakistan looked in deep trouble when they were reduced to 43/4 inside just seven overs. But Iftikhar Ahmed stepped up as he built a 52-run stand with Mohammad Nawaz first and then another 82-run stand for the sixth wicket with Shadab Khan to take Pakistan to a total of 185/9, which looked absolutely improbable at one point.
Iftikhar scored 51 from 35 deliveries but the real difference was made by Shadab as he walked in and smashed 52 from just 22 deliveries, including three fours and four sixes.

Ten sixes hit by Pakistan is the second most by them in a T20 World Cup match, only one behind the 11 they smashed against Scotland in Sharjah last year. Pakistan have enjoyed the more batting friendly conditions in Sydney – 10 sixes they hit today. In the first three games at Perth & Melbourne, they managed only nine.
142 runs added by Pakistan after the fall of fourth wicket – the most by them in an innings in a T20I.
