BGMS Day 3 Highlights: From OR Esports disappointment to Skylightz Gaming’s amazing rise, the Launch week Day 3 of India’s first-ever televised esports event, the BGMI Masters Series had it all. Perhaps, the launch week of the competition had a fitting end with tactical brilliance and skillsets on display. After 12 high octane clashes, Skylightz Gaming emerged as the table topper with 103 points bagging 4 lacs while Team SouL finished at the runner-up position with 94 points.
Fan-favorite Team SouL had a target to aim for before the last two matches but they couldn’t live up to expectations as they finished just short. BGMS Day 3 Summary:
Match 1:
The opening match of the day was placed between Group B and Group C on the Miramar map. After the end of Day 2, OR Esports had the slender lead that they would have wanted to increase but it was a disappointing outing for the table-toppers as they had to settle with only 1 point from the match. Before the start of the match, Fan-favorite Team SouL was looking to close the gap and they had a decent outing with 10 points.
However, the match was all about Skylightz Gaming who was dominant throughout the game that we all missed in the last two days. The match had a fitting end where a 4v3 battle took place between Skylightz Gaming and Nigma Galaxy. Of course, the zone helped Skylightz but it was PuskaR who stole the show with gut-wrenching sprays to knock down MJ and his teammates. Along with Gamlaboyyyy, they finished Nigma to claim the chicken dinner. Fierce from Team XO was the MVP of the match.
Match 2:
Match 2 of Day 3 featured the rematch of the opening game on the Erangle map. Everyone was wishing for Skylightz Gaming to build on the last match. Guess What! Saumraj and his teammates delivered. Let’s know more about the match in detail. The audacity to rotate (midmatch) by Skylightz through the middle in front of most teams was the highlight of the game. Eventually, it helped them to find a better position to have an advantage over others.
Nigma Galaxy once again showed resilience, especially MJ who had to dig in to finish in the runners-up position. Ironically, the closing of the match also featured the same two teams who contested the previous match. The masterstroke of the match was when VeXe helped Saumraj with first aid to heal in the final circle. Eventually, the leader, Saumraj finished off MJ in style to clinch back-to-back chicken dinners. MJ from Nigma Galaxy was MVP of the game.
OR Esports had two terrible outings securing only 1 point in 2 matches and with back-to-back victories, Skylightz Gaming jumped to the top of the table.

Match 3:
Match 3 featured Group A vs Group C on the Sanhok map. The stage was set for Team SouL as Group C was projected to play four matches. However, Team SouL failed to impress yet again as Nigma Galaxy wiped them out by bridge camping. Sanhok always turns out to be one of the trickiest maps for players eventually, it turned into a close affair between Enigma Gaming and Team Enigma Forever.
The final zone featured a 4v4v3 of Team Enigma Forever, TSM, and Enigma Gaming. TSM wasted their opportunity as they were wiped out by both zone and teams. The closing encounter was a 2v2 between Enigma Gaming and Team Enigma Forever. Owais had been showing his class throughout the game through finishes and he upped his level to revive MaxKash. Eventually, the latter finished Rexx of Enigma with a grenade to claim WWCD.
Match 4:
The final match of the day was the repeat of the previous match on the Erangle map. In the last match, Team Enigma Forever came out of the syllabus but they had a point to prove. After two lackluster performances, Team SouL found something to cherish as Soul GobLiN helped them finish at the runners-up position.
The final circle was tantalizingly poised when Team Enigma Gaming had an upper hand over the others. Team Xspark had three players to was easily wiped out by Team Enigma Forever. Having survived a spray from Mavvi, Soul Goblin eliminated Eggy but TEF was there to finish Goblin and claim back-to-back chicken dinners. Manya of Global Esports was the MVP of the match.
Overall Standings:
The day was full of breathtaking battles as we witnessed two multiple chicken dinners. Skylightz Gaming started the day with a bang and another chicken dinner meant they finished at the top of the leaderboard with 103 earning 4 Lacs. Following them is Team SouL who didn’t have the best of days but finished 2nd with 94 points. Back-to-back chicken dinners also helped TEF to jump up to 7th position.
