Barça had a very small amount of time to mount a comeback, but they didn’t seem very motivated to lift the ante and made several poor choices in the last third. A ball from Ferran Torres found Robert Lewandowski’s head in the 90th minute, giving the Blaugrana some chance of a late equaliser in stoppage time.
Since the equaliser did not materialise, Sociedad was awarded three significant points in their quest for a Champions League spot. Barça’s night was somewhat underwhelming, but they still got to celebrate at home by raising the trophy. The evening is still fantastic.
