Earlier deciding to bat 1st, Bangladesh lost both their openers cheaply. But Liton Das and captain Shakib Al Hassan weaved in 88 runs partnership for the 3rd wicket. Both scored 50’s to power Bangladesh to 173/6 in 20 overs. Liton was out for 69 off 42 balls, while Shakib made second consecutive 50. Shakib scored 68 off 42 deliveries.
The PAK team has made one change to their line-up. Mohammad Hasnain has replaced Shahnawaz Dahani. Two changes for Bangladesh. Taskin Ahmed and Hasan Mahmud replace Mosaddek Hossain and Ebadot Hossain.
The result of this match notwithstanding, New Zealand are due to face Pakistan in the final on Friday:
