BAN vs PAK LIVE: From T20 World Cup ‘villain’ to ‘hero’, Hasan Ali joins elite list with Imran Khan, Waqar Younis with fifer

After being put on the backfoot on the opening day of the Chattogram Test, Hasan Ali’s fifer helped Pakistan restrict the host at 330 despite the heroics of Liton Das and Mushfiqur Rahim.

The fifer helped him join the elite list of Imran Khan, Waqar Younis, Saqlain Mushtaq, and Yasir Shah – all have 5 five-wicket hauls in Tests in a calendar year except Waqar Younis.

Waqar Younis has picked 5 fifers in a calendar year twice & also has a record of taking a six-fer in a calendar year for Pakistan in Test cricket.

Hasan Ali has taken 37 wickets in 2021 at an epic average of 15.40, including five fifers.
