According to reports in Cricbuzz, the Afghanistan national cricket team arrived at Dhaka on 12th February and left for Sylhet the following day. They practised at Sylhet for two days before the COVID-19 diagnosis reports came out.

“Look, now, they are not under our protocol considering the series will start from February 19 but now whatever support they will want now we will provide that. If the symptoms are mild then they will be isolation and if that is not the case we will have to transfer them to hospital but at the moment they are looking after their own well being,” an official of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) was quoted saying.

The first ODI match of the series is slated to be played on 23rd February at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram. According to the initial plans, the Afghan cricketers were expected to leave Sylhet for Chattogram on 19th February.
