Left-arm spinner Nasum, ran through the Afghanistan top-order as he dismissed opener Rahmanullah Gurbaz for a duck in the very first over. He then took the wickets of Hazratullah Zazai and Darwish Rasooli in his next over to leave Afghanistan reeling at 8/3 by the end of 3 overs. In his next over he bagged his fourth wicket by dismissing Karim Janat. After completing his quota of four overs, his figures read 4-0-10-4.
From then on, it was difficult for Bangladesh to get back into the game. Mohammad Nabi and Najibullah Zadran shared a 37-run partnership to help Afghanistan crawl back in the game. But it was soon broken by Shakib Al Hasan as he dismissed Mohammab Nabi to take his 400th wicket in white-ball cricket.

Earlier, Litton Das smashed his fifth T20 International fifty to help Bangladesh score 155/8 at the end of 20 overs. Coming in at number 3, Litton Das was impressive with the bat as he scored a vital 60 off 44 deliveries including four fours and two sixes to rescue Bangladesh who were struggling after losing three early wickets.
Afghanistan made a good start as they have taken the wicket of both the openers. Bangladesh openers Mohammad Naim and Munim Shahriar, who made debut, couldn’t provide a good start. First it was Naim, who was dismissed in the third over by left-arm pacer Fazalhaq Farooqi. Then in the last ball of the fifth over, Shahriar was trapped LBW by Rashid Khan as they were reeling at 25/2 by the end of 5 overs.

Litton Das and Mahmudullah then forged a quickfire 33-run partnership off just 19 balls. However Bangladesh came back in the game as they took the wicket of Mahmudullah in the 11th over. Litton Das then struck another vital partnership with Afif Hossain to get to his fifty.
