Star Indian cricketer Virat Kohli and his wife Anushka Sharma are set to become parents for the second time. According to reports, Anushka Sharma is pregnant and in her second trimester. Notably, the star couple welcomed their first child, Vamika Kohli, in January 2021.
“Anushka is going to have another baby. Just like last time, they plan to announce it officially to the world a little later”, a source was quoted as saying to Hindustan Times.
Anushka Sharma, who frequently accompanies her husband on match tours, hasn’t been seen at matches or events recently. And it is being reported that the Bollywood actress is staying away from the public eye to avoid any speculations.
The reports further claimed that that Virushka, as their fans lovingly call them, was recently seen at a maternity clinic in Mumbai. However, they requested the media to not to publish their pictures, promising to share the news themselves soon.
Since Vamika was born, Anushka and Virat have been very cautious about their daughter’s privacy and have asked the media to not click or post her photos. Virat had previously talked about the decision to keep Vamika out of limelight and said, “We have decided not to share our child on social media until she understands and can make her own choice.”
Motherhood has made me more confident: Anushka
Earlier in an interview with Grazia India, Anushka had opened about her motherhood and said it has made her a “self assured individual”.
“Motherhood has internally made me a far more self-assured individual – I feel I’m way more confident as a person. It’s a very real thing, caring for another human – and putting the child first in everything. I want to mention this – that it’s so important to have this connect with your child”, the 35-year-old said.
Anushka recently finished filming for her next movie, Chakda ‘Xpress where she portrays former Indian cricketer Jhulan Goswami.
Meanwhile, Virat Kohli is with Team India for the World Cup 2023 which is set to begin on October 5. The Men in Blue will play their opening match against Australia.
