Sixth seed Felix Auger Aliassime will face Alex Molcan in the second round of the Australian Open. Aliassime had a tough game in the first round against compatriot Vasek Pospisil. He lost the first set 1-6. He had to clinch the next two sets via a tie-breaker and won the final set 6-3 to make his way into the second round.
Alex Molcan meanwhile clinched a five-set victory against Stan Wawrinka. The World No.53 is aiming to reach the third round at the Grand Slam event for the first time in his career. He also leads the head-to-head record 1-0 against Aliassime and enters the contest with confidence.

Rafael Nadal vs Mackenzie McDonald
Top seed Rafael Nadal will face USA’s McKenzie McDonald in his second round. The Spaniard enters the contest after a victory against Jack Draper in four sets in the first round. This was his first victory of the year and he aims to continue the momentum.
Meanwhile, McDonald makes his way into the contest after brushing past his compatriot Brandon Nakashima in the first round. The American will be up against a tough challenge against the top seed Nadal.
Daniil Medvedev vs John Millman
Seventh seed Daniil Medvedev was at his imperious best in the first round. Against Marcos Giron, he dropped just three games as he clinched a 6-0, 6-1, 6-2 victory. The Russian is aiming to continue his form as he faces Australia’s John Millman in the second round.
Unseeded John Millman meanwhile clinched a five-set thriller against Marc-Andrea Huesler in the first round. The Australian is aiming to reach the third round at his home slam for the third time in his career.

Stefanos Tsitsipas vs Rinky Hijikata
Third seed Stefanos Tsitsipas had a great start to the Australian Open campaign this year. He clinched a 6-3, 6-4, 7-6 victory against Quentin Halys in the first round. He now takes on Australia’s Rinky Hijikata in the second round.
21-year old Hijikata made his maiden appearance to the second round at the Australian Open. This was the youngster’s first-ever victory in the main draw at a Grand Slam event. He defeated Yannick Hanfmann in a five-set thriller. In front of his home crowd, he aims another win but will face a very tough challenge against Tsitsipas.
Iga Swiatek vs Osario Serrano
World No.1 Iga Swiatek sailed past Jule Niemier 6-4, 7-5 in the first round. The title favourite aims another dominating win in the upcoming contest. She will face Colombia’s Osario Serrano for a spot in the third round.
This will be Osario’s first-ever match in the second round of the Australian Open. The 21-year old clinched a dominant 6-4, 6-1 win against Italy’s Panna Udvardy in the first round.
Maria Sakkari vs Daria Shnieder
Sixth seed Maria Sakkari will face unseeded Daria Shneider in the second round of the year-opening Grand Slam event. Sakkari dropped just five games in his firstt round. She defeated China’s Yue Yuan. The Greek yet again enters the upcomong contest as the overwhelming favourite.
18-year old Diana Shneider meanwhile is a qualifier who made it to the main draw at the Australian Open for the first time in her career. In her very first match in a major event, she defeated Kristina Kucova in straight sets in the first round. It remains to be seen how she fares against a quality opponent in Sakkari.
Coco Gauff vs Emma Raducanu
Coco Gauff and Emma Raducanu will play the contest of the day. Both the players have a great potential but have been drawn against each other in the very first round. Gauff is the seventh seed and she sailed past Katerina Siniakova in straight sets in the first round.
Raducanu meanwhile brushed aside injury concerns as she clinched a 6-3, 6-2 win over Tamara Korpatsch. Emma Raducanu is looking to continue her momentum in the tournament.
