ATP Finals Live: Novak Djokovic vs  Stefanos Tsitsipas – World No.1 Novak Djokovic will take on Stefanos Tsitsipas in the third round of ATP Finals 2021, in what would be the 2021 French Open final rematch between both the players. Both the players have been drawn in the same group when the draw was announced on Thursday. Novak Djokovic will play Norway’s Casper Ruud in Round 1, while Stefanos Tsitsipas will take on Andrey Rublev. Follow live updates of ATP Finals on InsideSport.  

Novak Djokovic had a great season so far ahead of ATP Finals. The 34-year-old has clinched three Grand Slam titles at Australian Open, French Open and Wimbledon Championships, while he missed a chance of achieving Calendar Grand Slam by a whisker after losing to Daniil Medvedev in the US Open final. A week before the opening match of ATP Finals, Djokovic accomplished a feat by achieving a record-breaking 37th ATP Masters 1000 title at Paris Masters.

Novak Djokovic will play his 14th ATP Finals on Monday. Apart from Stefanos Tsitsipas, the World No.1 has drawn alongside Casper Ruud and Andrey Rublev in Group Green. He already has five ATP year-end titles under his belt and will be aiming to equal Roger Federer’s record of six year-end titles. Also, Djokovic will look to become the oldest player to win an ATP Finals title. 

ATP Finals Live: Djokovic vs Tsitsipas – Stefanos Tsitsipas had a decent season on ATP Tour this year so far.  The 23-year-old has played 20 tournaments and bagged two titles ahead of ATP Finals. The Greek tennis star made headlines when he reached his first Grand Slam final at the 2021 French Open, where he lost to Novak Djokovic in a five-set thriller. In February, Stefanos Tsitsipas reached the semifinals of the Australian Open before losing to Daniil Medvedev in straight sets. Tsitsipas biggest title of the season was Monte-Carlo Masters. 

Stefanos Tsitsipas will be playing his third ATP year-end tournament on Tuesday. The World No.4 won his first ATP Finals title in his debut appearance in 2018. His top challengers in his group are Novak Djokovic and Andrey Rublev.

Novak Djokovic vs Stefanos Tsitsipas head to head

Novak Djokovic and Stefanos Tsitsipas have met each other 8 times in their careers, with former leading with 6-2. The first face-off between both the players was in 2018 when Tsitsipas defeated Djokovic in three sets at Canadian Masters. Their last meeting was during 2021 French Open final, where Novak Djokovic defeated Stefanos Tsitsipas in a tough battle. The clash between both the players always make headlines.
