Like Virat Kohli, Babar Azam has made fitness his top priority since taking over as captain. And the results have started to come in. Pakistan thrashed Australia in the ODI series while they were close in the T20 World Cup 2021. In his social media post, he shared pictures of his working out with the caption, “Make it Happen”.

While Pakistan will play a three-match ODI series against Netherlands for crucial ODI Super League points, it will be more of practice match before big India vs Pakistan match in Asia Cup in Dubai. Babar Azan has already warned Rohit Sharma & Co, ‘We have 11 trump cards’.
“We have eleven trump cards. Each of them can be match winners on their day. I have faith in every one of them, whether batters or bowlers. The team has been announced after discussions with everyone. We met with the coach and chief selector and did what was best for Pakistan,” Babar Azam told reporters before leaving for Netherlands tour.

As for Team India, barring four players, the entire team has been rested. Virat Kohli, who was on a month-long break and skipped the West Indies tour, has returned to resume practice in Mumbai.
As for others including Rohit Sharma, they will report to NCA on August 20 for a fitness camp and then fly to Dubai on August 23. Axar Patel, Avesh Khan, and KL Rahul will join the team directly in Dubai from Harare.
