Rohit Sharma handed over the responsibility to young Arjun to defend 20 runs in the final over. Tendulkar Jr. chose to bowl full and wide and just gave 5 runs in 4 balls before finally getting his maiden wicket in the 5th delivery.

Arjun got rid of Bhyvneshwar Kumar who was trying to go over extra cover but gave an easy catch to Rohit Sharma. The maiden wicket not only excited the skipper Rohit Sharma who gave a tight hug to the 23-year-old but also Sachin Tendulkar, who hugged Piyush Chawla in excitement.

Earlier, Chris Green starred for Mumbai Indians as he played impressive unbeaten innings of 64 ff 40 balls. He was well supported by Tilak Varma, who scored a quickfire 37 off 17 balls, and skipper Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan, who contributed 28 and 38 runs, respectively.

Despite a slow start, Sunrisers Hyderabad fought back with Mayank Agarwal scoring 48 off 41 balls and Heinrich Klaasen hitting 36 off 16 balls. However, their efforts were not enough as they lost wickets at crucial moments and eventually fell short of the target.

After the game, Arjun talked about his tactics and how he planned to bowl the final over.

“My plan was to just bowl wide and get the batsmen hitting into the longer side. I was itching to bowl, yes. I love bowling and happy to bowl any time. We [Sachin and him] talk a lot about cricket. We talk tactics and plans. I just focused on my release and the lengths I want to bowl. If it swings, it is a bonus; if it doesn’t, so be it”, Arjun said after the game.

Mumbai skipper Rohit Sharma also heaped praise on the 23-year-old and said that it is exciting to play alongside him.

“It’s quite exiting to play with Arjun. Life has come full circle. Arjun has been part of the squad for the last three years. I have seen him grow. He understands what he wants to do, and he is quite confident he can do it. He is trying to swing the new ball, and bowling yorkers at the death”, Rohit said in the post-match presentation.
