Anthony Joshua and Dillian Whyte: Anthony Joshua and Dillian Whyte are set to renew their rivalry in a rematch after a bitter dispute over a rematch clause was finally settled between the two heavyweight boxers. The talks between the camps of Joshua and Whyte were recently revived after the latter agreed to accept Eddie Hearn’s initial proposal. However, negotiations hit a snag when Whyte revealed that a one-way rematch clause was delaying the agreement. This would have allowed Joshua to activate a rematch clause if he were to lose the upcoming fight.

The rivalry between the two British heavyweights dates back to their amateur days in London 2012, where Whyte claimed victory over Joshua. As professionals, they met in a wild 2015 British heavyweight title fight, which Joshua won by seventh-round stoppage. Joshua went on to become a unified world champion, while Whyte continued to build his reputation as a tough contender in the division.

After suffering two consecutive defeats to Oleksandr Usyk, Joshua bounced back with a win over Jermaine Franklin in April. Meanwhile, Whyte also got back to winning ways with a points victory over Franklin, following his 2022 WBC title fight loss to Tyson Fury at Wembley Stadium.

The upcoming rematch between Joshua and Whyte promises to be an explosive encounter, with both fighters eager to prove their worth in the heavyweight division.

For Joshua, a win would be crucial to his hopes of reclaiming his place as a dominant force in the division, while Whyte will be looking to avenge his past defeats and cement his position as a top contender. Boxing fans around the world will be eagerly anticipating this highly-anticipated rematch, which is sure to be a thrilling spectacle.
