The findings of an internal health and safety investigation should be submitted to BBC management within a few days.
Fans of the show have been eagerly awaiting news on whether the findings will allow the producers to resume filming.
Following the horrific crash two months ago, the 45-year-old former England cricket star was evacuated to the hospital with severe facial injuries and fractured ribs. His open-topped vehicle overturned and skidded over the track.
A crew member was sitting in the passenger seat as Flintoff operated the steering wheel.
The investigation was started by the BBC Studios Health and Safety Team in collaboration with impartial outside specialists, independent of the Top Gear production.

A BBC source told The Sun: “The report is imminent. Only when it is finished and examined will a decision be made on whether Top Gear filming can restart.
“The show’s future depends on what the report says. It’s as simple as that.”
Despite wearing helmets, which may have saved their lives, Flintoff and his colleague’s injuries were more severe since their vehicle lacked a roof.
According to the source, the accident at Dunsfold Aerodrome in Surrey, close to Cranleigh, was “shocking for everyone concerned and highly serious.” As previously reported by the BBC, “all health and safety procedures” were adhered to.
Along with Chris Harris and Paddy McGuinness, Flintoff hosts Top Gear.
