Check out the difference between Battle Royal and Royal Rumble
A Battle Royal is a multi-competitor match. In this match wrestlers are eliminated when they are thrown over the top rope, with both feet touching the floor. Battle Royal usually begin with 10 or more wrestlers in the ring and ends when only one wrestler is left standing inside the ring.
However, Royal Rumble is a 30-Wrestler Battle Royal, organized by WWE in the month of January. Standard Battle Royal rules are applicable to Royal Rumble as well. The only exception is that two wrestlers began the match and more Wrestlers keep coming at scheduled intervals.
Thus, the difference between a standard Battle Royal and Royal Rumble is that in Battle Royal all the wrestlers are in the ring and start the match at the same time, whereas in Royal Rumble, two Wrestlers start the match and the rest of the wrestlers enter at timed intervals.
